Can’t sleep, Sox and Yanks, the rubber match for the weekend, hopefully the good guys win. Adam Scott won today, with Tiger’s fired caddy. Doesn’t seem like Tiger can get a break anywhere these days. Not a major coincidence though, Adam Scott has been playing good and was due for awhile, so it was coming anyway. About to start a week of vacation/boredom, so see you soon.

Today on the Rise Guys Morning Show we were discussing near death experiences.  I was amazed how many people called in to talk about their experiences.  I  touched on what happened to me when I was in the hospital.  I hemoraged and had comlications during surgery.   I woke up and already knew what had happened during my surgery.  I remember seeing Jesus standing in purple light.  I thought it was all the morphine that I was given that made me hallucinate.  But, maybe there was something to this.  I looked up colors and dreams and this what I found: “Purple is indicative of devotion, healing abilities, loving, kindness, and compassion. It is also the color of royalty, high rank,  justice, wealth and dignity.”  Definition of purple in dreams.  So maybe Jesus, or someone in my subconscious spoke to me to tell me what had happened to me, and that I was going to be fine.

I can’t believe it’s August and I still haven’t been to a Braves game all year. I had opening day tickets, but that was the day I found out I may be a father so I wound up skipping that one.

Here’s my current dilemma. I am bad about missing a game or two or five like I have this year and then trying to make it all up at once. So I’m seriously considering trying to justify spending $125 to go to a luncheon with Bobby Cox and the 1991 Braves!

It’s all in honor of Bobby Cox and what he did for the Braves over the years. The game that Friday night is also gonna have a nice ceremony to honor Bobby and wish him one more fond farewell. Thing is, the $125 luncheon is an opportunity you won’t have at a game attended by 45,000 people. It’s a much better opportunity to shake the World Series-winning hand of Bobby Cox! Or Sid Bream! Or Mark Lemke or Jeff Blauser or Otis Nixon for that matter! It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to go mark out over some old baseball players who would probably enjoy it as much as I’d be enjoying it.

What do you do, though? Do you do the sensible, reasonable thing and just go down for the game, or do you do the outlandish, possibly stupid thing and go to the $125 a plate luncheon? I really need some help. Professional help maybe.

Whatever the answer is, this is how I will spend my summer vacation.

Paige with a Twelve Gage

By: Liana Kathleen Davis A.K.A Lustrous Kindle Defender

 Her name is Paige

She owns a twelve gage

Having her own show

She will vivaciously glow

On her own glamorous stage

 You’d better not disappoint her

Cause if you even dare

You’ll stand still in a stare

Watching stars go round and round

Without making a sound

She will lock you up in a cage

And show you her mighty rage

Teasing you with her twelve gage

Don’t let her do such a thing

Cause there’s no joy to bring

But the song, “NIGHTMARE” to sing

Whether or not you’re wearing a ring

Be careful, she might make you fall

She will push you up against the wall

Still teasing you with her twelve gage

Do you dare be afraid?

You never can tell with Paige

She may just start her own little charade

Getting serious with that damn twelve gage

“Don’t ever burglarize us again,

Cause now might be the time for you to pray!”

Her husband with maliciously say

As the burglar runs into the storage bin

While he tries to run the f  away

He says to himself aloud, “This is so damn gay!”

“Run and don’t ever come back,

Cause if you do, it’ll be your neck I’ll crack!”

Paige yells with rage

As she goes back inside with her twelve gage

Nestling in her hubby’s arms

He secures the house and sets the alarms

He asks, “Baby, you all right?”

She says, “Honey, I’m fine, but now I need a Sprite!”

While looking at the moon shining so bright

Her hubby compares her eyes to its glorious light

She’ll forever be safe and sound

Cause her hubby will always be around

Just incase they have to take

Someone down to the ground

As they will both show their mighty rage

With that dangerous twelve gage

What happens when you get The Rise Guys together with “The White Trash Millionaires”?  You have a thing called a Rock and Bowl. The P1.s got a chance to hang out at Golden Lanes  with Black Stone Cherry. They were a really cool bunch of guys from Kentucky.  I  had heard that the band was awesome from a friend of mine,  Keith Age.  I did a Ghost Investigation with Keith.  He told me that I had to hear these guys play. Keith told me that their recording studio was haunted.  Obviously,  I was intrigued by that information. I found out while chatting with the band members that they recorded one of their videos in Waverly Hills. Tuberculosis Hospital.  However, my favorite part of the rock and bowl was the air hockey match with my Husband and Fatboy.  It was hilarious.  Later on that night everyone enjoyed Black Stone Cherry rocking at the Handlebar.

Anybody watch the Braves last night? I’m not a fan really, I think I watch them out of habit now from being a kid. They gave up 4 to the Rockies last night but let’s be honest, 2 of those runs were a gift. It’s all good though, take em as you can. My Red Sox won 15-10 last night. Thank God they wrapped it up early, it almost looked like a repeat from Sunday night for a minute there. Second half of baseball should prove to be a good one. Other good news is, looks like the NFL is on the way.

HUNGRY?

Posted in: Uncategorized

It is Tuesday morning at 7:11, we are playing Pearl Jam and everyone, except me of course, just left to get breakfast downstairs from MiMi. This is why you eat early like me. Early bird gets the worm and a full belly. Now I enjoy peace and quiet.

August is steadily approaching, wich means we are only a month away from Football season. Hopefully we will have some NFL to watch but at least we will have some College ball to see. Can’t wait; also, I’m excited about the beard I have now, hopefully it will last to the Super Bowl, we will see.

Justice

Casey Anthony’s Mother could face perjury charges. Cindy Anthony testified that she was responsible for the internet searches on the family’s home computer information about chloroform. However, records indicate that she was at work at the time.. Cindy probably will not be charged. The Prosecution in the case alleged that Casey killed her daughter Caylee by rendering her unconscious with chloroform, covered her mouth and nose with duct tape, and therefore causing the child to suffocate. One of the alternative jurors said that the Prosecution in the case failed to prove that Casey had motive to kill Caylee.  Casey Anthony will probably get out of jail with time served. As the crowds grow outside the Anthony’s home and courthouse. Many people are upset and shocked with the verdict. I thought to myself, what would I say to Casey Anthony, if I ever saw her face to face? Would I chant baby killer with the crowd? I understand that the community does not want murderers in their neighborhood. I truly hope that she did not kill her own child. If your child drowns, you call 911 and cooperate with the authorities to treat the victim with the most dignity possible. A normal parent would do whatever they do to help their child.  I would tell her that if she did suffocate her own little girl, then she is the most vial creature walking the earth.. I would say I hope you never get pregnant again,. The truth of the matter is Casey will probably have many more children. She will probably make millions from her court case. A murderer is still on the loose.. Whoever profits for from this case is just as evil. Was justice served?
