Not a whole lot going on sports wise this time of year so I have been reading. Even though I am not a Yankees fan by any stretch of the imagination, I recommend a book called Dimaggio Setting The Record Straight. It is a good read, also you should check out Artie Lange’s too fat to fish. If you are a fan of course.

Congrats to Lucas Glover for winning the U.S. Open. I am a huge Phil Mickelson fan and he has never won an open but seeing Lucas Glover win one was good for our area and Clemson golf, which I am a fan of. There are a lot of great golfers in our state and he kind of put them on the map with that win. The guy must feel rushed though, but I know what he is going through, get a little bit of recognition and people come out of the woodwork, it’s all good though, wouldn’t have it any other way.

As far as other sports go, baseball is in full swing nearing the all star break so after the second week of July, is where we really want to pay attention to division races and what not. That’s the time of year when the Yankees vs Red Sox and Braves vs Mets actually mean something. For you Braves fans, I would ride him as much as I could until his arm falls off like Hudson’s did and most likely will again.

I’m ready for some Clemson football. If you are reading this Dabo Swinney, any information on a quarterback would be great at this point. My money is on Kyle Parker but we will see. Kudos for that kid on staying in school though, he may get drafted next year, we will need all the help we can get against TCU, but if you ask me, I would much rather play them then Idaho. It strengthens the schedule a bit more.

So the marathon we know as sports is gearing toward its last leg, the anchor leg, football season. Congrats to my Lakers for winning their 15th title and kobe’s 4th, congrats to the Penguins, who have a fast young talented team, and lets snap the damn pigskin allready.

Somebody saw too many of those hilarious Southwest Airlines commercials. That is the easiest way out of this. Then again, you could have conflicting stories and a lack of details as to the truth of either story. We seem to be stuck with the latter.

First, this whole story is just sort of comedic with the Governor going missing and no one knowing where to find him for five days. Then again, no one bothered wondering where he’d been until that fifth day.
Then they found him. He was hiking the Appalachian Trail, according to his people. Good enough. People were a little upset that he’d been gone without putting Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer in charge. Those people should be a little concerned. In a state of emergency, like a tornado since the radar shows no approaching hurricanes, only the governor could mobilize the state’s National Guard troops to assist people in need. Had there been a tornado ripping through downtown Laurens on Saturday night, the response would’ve been delayed and that probably means another FEMA director out the door in Washington. Thankfully nothing bad happened while he was gone.

Now, though, there are these mysterious new details uncovered apparently by a local TV station (they never mention us by name so I will return the favor) who decided not to simply relay information from press conferences and official statements, but to report on the story and investigate further. Nigel Robertson probably deserves a lot of credit because I saw it there several hours before I saw it elsewhere. Anyway, the meat is that Gov. Sanford took off in a SLED car that had been tracked to the airport in Atlanta. That’s also the last place his cell phone was picked up on Thursday. AND apparently a federal agent saw Sanford boarding a plane at that airport, though no one seems to know just yet where that plane was headed.
The simple answer is he flew up the Appalachian Trail and stared flying from there. The more complicated answer is probably the one we’ll piece together over the next several days. For one, driving from Columbia to Atlanta to fly is a long long way to go to get to an airport. Columbia has one, after all. But not one where a man could just blend in amongst literally thousands of travelers at any time of the day or night. And not one where a state car could hang out in a massively huge parking deck for days on end with no one really paying any attention. The governor at the airport and a state car in the parking lot are far more likely to be noticed in Columbia. So where? Also why? I wanna know. I’m curious. And in my heart I hope the answers piece together some hilarious story that stops writing on The Hangover 2 and makes them start over again with a new inspiration in a high place.

Madoff

Posted in: Uncategorized

Bernie Madoff is set to be sentenced next week for one of the biggest fraud-Ponzie case in Wall Street history. His lawyer told the judge this morning that 12 years would be fair. Really, why don’t they ask the people that lost everything about fairness. Dozens of Madoff’s victims have asked the judge to make sure he spends the rest of his life in prison. How much pain and suffering has he caused?
What kind of restitution can he pay back?

Ryan O’neal says he plans to marry Farrah,as soon as she can says yes. Farrah’s has been battling cancer for a couple years. Her health is declining. They have been companions for many years. The couple went on their first date 30 years ago.
It is bitter sweet that at this point in their lives that
they have decided to get married. I hope the best for both of them. It reminds me of the movie “Love Story.”
The Famous line in the movie, “Love means never having to say your sorry.” The movie is considered one of the most romantic movies of all time. This was one of the first movies Ryan did.

Chapter 9

Posted in: pissy

What’s up pissies?

Make plans to join us Friday night.  It’s a Rise Guys Big Ass Draft TOGA party.  We’ll be in togas (and hope you are too) at Little D’s on Fernwood Glendale Road in Spartanburg from 8-10 THIS Friday night (June 26th).  First time, we’ve had a BAD Night in Sparkle City in a long, long time.  Faybay hates Spartanburg, but we’re making him go.  He says there’s a lot of crime there so I have him a bullet proof vest to wear.

Over at TickleItGuys.com (the official website of The Rise Guys) we have a brand new Rise Girl.

That’s Ashley Nicole, our newest Rise Girl.  Check out all 62 pics of here at TickleItGuys.com

Speaking of girls, Perez Hilton finally got his.

Perez Hilton attacked and left bleeding, tweeting for help?

Well, it was only a matter of time. But we always thought Courtney Love,  Mickey Rourke or Carrie Prejean might do the dreaded dirty deed.

But according to TMZ.com notorious celeb blogger Perez Hilton is accusing Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am of assault.

After last night’s MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Perez tweeted: “I was assaulted by Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.”

But TMZ says the cops say it’s the general manager of the Black Eyed Peas — Polo Molina — who is under investigation. Will.I.Am maintains that he was not involved in the alleged assault. Molina turned himself in to police early this morning. Just like a good manager should.

Here’s what Perez left on his Twitter page after the alleged smackdown:

– I’m in shock. I need the police ASAP. Please come to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel now. Please. about 5 hours ago from Sidekick

– I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke. –

Does Perez Hilton think that the LAPD follows his Twitter?Don’t get me wrong. I believe in free speech. No matter what Hilton said, he does not deserve a beating, but to go directly to Twitter with these over dramatic and moronic posts. Well, Ms. Hilton, your phone has numbers on some of the letter buttons. Call 911. These Tweets sound like a little kid on the ground crying for attention than help.  Pissy.

I’ll be back next time with Chapter 10. Until then, F**KS MY CAR?

So I’m workin’ on making dinner  for some friends at the house one night and yes………… it was an asian dish so i had to go to my people’s grocery store!  Let me tell you how it works at a true asian store… We work on the underground scene.. You can walk into this store and not even see where the all the groceries are.. It just looks like a bunch of trinkets and karate gear.  You have to go all the way to the back of the store and you see a random door that leads to stairs that take you down to the basement.  As you walk down the stairs you think you’re in an employee section.  Then you see it!!  An asian grocery store the size of a small Bilo!!

Check it out here’s the addy for the place in Greenville!

A and E have put urinal cakes in restrooms to promote “Gene Simons, Family Jewels.” Gene simons says on his website, for all of you that wanted to pee on his face can now. Kiss fans are rabid! I don’t believe anyone will take a wee wee cake home with them. It is really wierd marketing. What would they leave in the ladies room?

I’ve had this trouble with ex’s before So that’s why I shall this knowledge with my friends.. An Ex = Bad news..

Breaking up is hard to do — especially when you’re looking over your shoulder. Susan J. Elliot wrote a book called Getting Past Your Breakup,in it she says that a rule of “No Contact” with an ex is necessary to fully heal and grieve after a tough split.

  • I want to be friends. This sounds nice but in reality an ex does not make a true friend, especially immediately after the breakup.
  • I need closure. Closure can be difficult to obtain no matter how many conversations one has. The best closure can come from resisting the urge for dialogue and moving on.
  • I want to be available for reconciliation. Wanting to get back together is a fair feeling to have. Even if you do end up reconciling, the relationship will undoubtedly be different. It is still important to take some time without speaking to decide how you really feel.
  • I just need to give his or her stuff back. Do it quickly, in the first couple days. After that, use one of our many mail services.
  • I’m so horny. And your ex is familiar because you know him or her, but this is just prolonging the inevitable and will keep you stuck in the past. Time to cut off the ex and find someone new to get jiggy with — or just handle it yourself!

For some reason, Girls always want to be “friends”  Don’t do it..  I’m sure it works sometimes but 9 times out of 10 its bad news..  They either try to get back with you, or your dealin’ with jealousy issues with yourself or your “new found friend”
